Well, I regularly get to watch someone eat peanut butter and tomato sandwiches for dinner. Really. Sometimes with potato chips in them.

Mashed potatoes and honey.

Nice. But, who needs children for that one?

My submission: American beer (something collegiate like Bud or Coors Light) and American "chocolate". Together, they suck.

I say "chocolate" in quotes because I've learned that, for example, Hershey's can't even sell their chocolate bars in Germany because the wax content is too high. When people say that German chocolate is oh-so-good, they're not wrong.

The interesting thing is that German beer and German chocolate go together just great.

One at a time they suck...
True enough, but when you still have the aftertaste of one and then consume the other, it's positively deappetizing.

Usually beer mixed with lemonade or ginger beer; not too bad, but the orange or tomato juice idea is just wrong! Bleeeeeech...! What a waste of a good beer.

I just had some. You have to use a big glass. pour just a little bit of beer in a glass and a little Tang powder at a time. It will expand immensely. Be careful.

You probably aren't a coffee drinker. For those of us who drink lots of coffee, coffee does go with everything.

Beer and Bananas

A brewry in Minneapolis makes Banana Beer. Es ist ausgezeichnet. Ich liebe Banane Bier! Ich mag Banane Bier nicht soviel wie "Stout". Mein Lieblingsbier ist "Stout". Ich trinke Bier wie Wasser.

From experience:

Do not try to make brownies if the only cooking oil you have left is olive oil. A friend did that once...they tasted great....for about 3 seconds. Then the olive oil kicked in. Blech!!!

Guess that makes my entry chocolate and olive oil.

Also, chips ahoy and mustard. to quote my friend (who did it on a dare), "...that wasn't as bad as it could've been.

And then, there is the Mojo Shot. Not food, but a drink...

Heh, funny. Around here we call that a 'Prairie Fire' and it is a classic for ones 19th birthday (19 being the legal drinking age here). Actually, there are some of us who do those willingly. If you have them at the end of the evening, they're really not that bad.....if you can stomach it.

Some of our other nasty libation are the GST (gin, scotch, and tequila all in one glass) and what we have dubbed the Lynn Juice (long story) which is black sambuca and scotch.

oh yuck.
And if your guests still won't leave, suck the front.
