It's not trolling. It's just me and one of my all time best students with a little friendly banter, temporarily taking the thread off topic like what happens here on a daily basis in several posts. OK, so what 5/4 tubas are hot now?

Yamaha Neo BBb is clearly the way to go

could not agree with you more. i have had mine up here in canada for more than a year and it is a fantastic tuba. the fact that it is a 3plus1 compensating tuba might turn some people off,but it works for me.just listen to some of englands finest brass bands and you will be amazed at what this horn can do in the hands of the right person.tubalux wrote:Yamaha Neo BBb is clearly the way to go

^ Is the Yamaha Neo BBb a 5/4 tuba? Looks like a largish 4/4. Either way, I doubt Sean is into that style of tuba...

Depends entirely on your definition of 5/4... large 4/4 = small 5/4 to me!tooba wrote:^ Is the Yamaha Neo BBb a 5/4 tuba? Looks like a largish 4/4. Either way, I doubt Sean is into that style of tuba...
Sean might not be into it, but it's still a pretty hot tuba
