The subject has been around the block many times. However... I wish to state that around Noon today (Saturday) I got a call from Greyhound that a tuba that was shipped yesterday (Jan 29 at 10:30am) had arrived. I picked it up a little later. Shipped from Fort Lauderdale to Evansville, Indiana in only the zippered Chinese case.

Long trip. Just a shade over 24 hours. Around $80 for the ride. No damage. You have been updated.

I revived my Craftsman air compressor today thanks to $26 worth of parts I ordered. Can't figure out why it went down in the first place, I'd only had it for 30 years.

Some want to give away free stink,

Another denies anything was marked "stink" so it shouldn't matter,

The rest want you to go out and make your own stink.

Where is gas $1.37? On the North side of Atlanta $1.69 is the best you can do.

$1.69 is still pretty damn good.

I was thrilled to find $1.99 in some states between NY and MN this time last year... when I was driving an 8 mpg Uhaul truck halfway across the country.

It would be an even better bargain if gas were 100% gas and not 10% ethanol.

I get fuel for my 9.9hp outboard at the airport.

One wouldn't sell AV gas to me.

I ran out of gas right next to the entrance for our small rural airport one time. I walked in to see if I could buy enough gas to get me home, all they had was av-gas.
"What size engine ya got?"
"A little bitty 460 c.i."
"Yeah, it oughta handle av-gas"

There are several stations in the Eugene OR area that offer "clear" premium. I run that in my FZ1 and it is much happier.

On a side note, at the "card lock" stations (probably an Oregon phenomenon, since we have no self-serve gas, there are stations that cater to businesses and municipalities. We receive "training" so as to be able to safely fuel our vehicles. Anyway, that is how county mounties buy fuel at night, but I digress) some carry "racing fuel". Every time I tried to put it into my patrol jeep, I was advised that I was attempting to use an "unauthorized product". Mighta helped those 6 cylinders along, dontcha think?

On a side note to that side note - as I suppose you know, as an exception, motorcyclists are entitled to fill their own tank. I don't get down there as often as I would like (northeast Oregon might be the most beautiful spot on earth if we're talking about fairly large spots), and I've never thought to inquire as to whether the attendant would be grateful for the opportunity to fill my tank anyway.
