I quit doing that about two months after I began looking at eBay (in the late 90's, I'm thinking). It just isn't productive.
It's just about as productive as drawing everyone else's attention to an auction item on which you yourself are interested in bidding.

Could be worse...they could be encouraging people to become TubeNet addicts and that could lead to tubas in convenience stores which would block the aisles to the "Big Gulp" dispensers!
