You referencing the obvious imbibing in the same proportions of regular rum or the explosion possibility. A bartender in Atlanta attempted to add some to a flambé several years ago and blew up the whole bar area. I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Re: What are YOU drinking right now?
After a few days band excursion recently where there was a fair amount of alcohol every evening, I did notice a slight loss of interest. Horizon Air was handing out complimentary wine and beer, and on the return flight I opted for some juice rather than a refill on the wine! (Well, "bloody mary mix", but effectively tomato juice.) As best I remember, the last evening featured absinthe, corn whiskey, bourbon, red jug wine ... a typical evening around the band table. The wine was a constant, and I can't say it was a bad choice for heavy consumption, enough sugar to offer a little nutrition to go along with the alcohol

Eh. I've recently found that W.L. Weller 12-Year-Old is in short supply and is only released a couple of times a year. For the money, I find it unbeatable for a slightly sweet wheated bourbon.

Kona coffee, medium roast. On the deck, surveying the spring bulbs that are telling me that spring really is coming.

I've been into a couple of hop bombs the past few days.
I post because you're unable to Google.

Homebrew (a porter we just made last month). Very good, but needs more time to age and come together.

A recently discovered drink: Canchancharra. Also described as a "rustic mojito". Good rum, fresh mint, fresh lime, a small amount of simple syrup (about 1/3 of what all the mojito recipes call for), club soda and a peeled piece of sugar cane. Very refreshing!

Re: What are YOU drinking right now?
Yesterday in Pittsburgh I went to the Chrch Brew Works and had a flight of 8 of their beers. Like their Thunder Hop and Pipe Organ Ales.
For dinner we went to the HOFBRAU HAUS and since I had a lot to drink earlier, I got a Rachler which was a mixed drink of beer and lemonade, very tasty!

Freshly ground black coffee. Where did the rest of the pot go?

A new, to me, IPA: Hop Box IPA. This is made locally by the Joseph James Brewing Company of Henderson, NV. 9.3% alcohol and damned tasty. A nice way to spend some time on a Sunday in The Meadows.

My usual VB beer. Got home from the pub and the horse was waiting in the dark to meet up and have beer-o-clock. What one could call good "chill time".
Free to tuba: good home
