Not to totally change the flow of this topic, but if you're at the convention, come by the Holze Music booth to say hi. I will be the salesman that looks like your typical tuba player sporting a beard and dying to get away from the convention floor to enjoy a stogie and a single malt. I don't have a ton of tubas to show, but I will have a nice little Conn 52JS CC to sell at a pretty competitive price if you're interested.

Leaving for San Antonio in a hour or so with mouthpieces for Eb and CC. Looking foreward to meeting some of you. I'll have a "PolkaNoble Tubenet" sticker on my badge

Ja, Doc. We met at a Blasmusik Texas activity in Round Top two years ago ( or was it three?). I really enjoy that group. I started out with Blasmusik playing Bariton/Tenorhorn, but I have really enjoyed the Tuba section the last few years.

Drive safe.

Thought I would chime in here...

I'll be manning the air force band booth. Well, half days at least. We're easy to find, right next to custom music. After you finish trying out tubas, come over and say hi. I'm the tall guy with the shaved head. I mostly lurk here, but it would be nice to put some faces with the stuff that I read.
