I'd like to travel to Germany and purchase a PT-606. Does anyone have a clue as to where I'd start? Factory? Music store? Street corner? I've done this fairly recently (2001), but I was dealing with Walter Nirschl then. I have no idea where to start with the Perantucci instruments.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jarrod,

Don't go to Germany. Go to England and buy the original for less instead!!

Malcolm Peach has the original York cc that the PT-606 was copied from for sale for much less than a new PT-606.

I truly think my 606 fits my needs perfectly but I have been torn by the fact that that horn is still available for sale. I am not into change when something works so well for me but the thought that perhaps I should consider selling mine to pursue the original instead has entered my mind until I keep thinking a better player than I would deserve it more. I wish I could afford a trip to the UK to see if that old gal fits me as perfectly as my copy of it does.

Being in the market you really should not pass up that opportunity!

Thanks for the kind words Paul (and also to Joe S in the 'For Sale' section).

Really, anyone considering buying a PT606/GR41 could do a lot worse than buying the original York from me!

Anyone is very welcome to stop by to try the horn.
