Up for sale is a very good playing in remarkable cosmetic condition 1966 Conn 25J. It is satin silver plated with an upright bell with a gold finish inside flare. This tuba was owned by The State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany). As a result it was spared the abuse that many of these tubas suffered at the hands of high school musicians. These pictures illustrate this fact:
Another remarkable facet of this tuba's condition is the amount of valve compression. Another way to describe it is the absence of leaks. I have played/owned many of these tubas and this one by far has the best valve valve compression that I have experienced.
