Hello everyone,
I’m selling my 1950s Alexander 163 4V. I purchased it a few months ago from a member here, but I’ve since picked up a 5-valve version from the same era, so this one isn’t getting used.

The horn is raw brass and has an AGR receiver. It’s had very light work on the bell and kranz—nothing that affects how it plays. There are a few small dents, but again, no impact on sound. Intonation is well above average for this model; the only note I have to adjust is the D in the staff, which sits slightly low. As expected with these horns, they take some air and control, but the sound is unmatched.

The tuba is located in Houston, Texas. I’m not willing to ship, but I can drive a reasonable distance to meet a serious buyer.

Price: $4,500. Serious inquiries only please. I’m not interested in any trades at the moment.
