Hello,
Up for sale is my Meinl Weston 2250 in silver. I’ve owned the horn for 2 years and nothing is wrong with it, I’ve just learned that I’m more of a rotor F player.
The horn has never had a major ding or dent, picture provided, and the only modification I’ve ever added was MAW valves which make the horn somehow better than it already was. This horn easily had the best low range out of any F tuba I’ve ever played (maybe even my CC) and doesn’t sacrifice anything in the high range. It plays very in tune (point and shoot) and is one of the better 2250s I’ve ever played. The horn has served me well in all aspects of F playing: solos, chamber, orchestra, and wind band. I was lucky enough to get play Mahler 1 on the horn and it did not disappoint. I also advanced to the semifinal round in the Artist division for Falcone with this horn. Truly, this is a beast of an F tuba that really can do it all.
Included: gig bag, both sets of valves, a mouthpiece
Price: $10,000, I’m slightly flexible on this just reach out.
Location: Waco, Texas; I’m willing to drive quite a bit but if you come to Waco I can get some access to halls to play the horn in
