flying with my R&S helleburg (and trueing tool)

Post by hurricane_harry »

okay so heres the story, i was the phantom regiment audtion camp a few weeks ago (didn't make it but i made crossmen :P ) anyway, i took the train there and was flying home, and on the way home, surprisingly enuogh i asked about my R&S helleburg and i was told no problem just keep it on my carryon bag, which was pretty sweet. as i was walking through secruity emptying my pockets it occured to me 'oh &*$# i have my trueing tool, im gonna get the full body cavity search! im not gonna be able to sit down for a week! i'll be arrested! no one will believe me!!!!!!!!' when asked whos item this was i owned up to it, this lady looking very mad told me not to move and asked me what it was, and i very nicely said 'its a trueing tool..........for a mouthpiece..........you know, for brass instruments' she took my trueing tool to security for physical inspection with this very stern looking man he looked it over said something to her and she handed me my tool and told me a was good to go!!!!!!!!!!

now i realize i was very lucky, but is this a good thing that i was allowed to procceed?

I've also heard on the news recently that airport inspectors are lightening up due to volume, and probably because noone has really ever tried to hijack an airplane with nail clippers, pen knife or cuticle scissors!
