CONN-CLARK Eb tuba mouthpiece; who was "Clark"?

Post by windshieldbug »

I just acquired a "CONN-CLARK" mouthpiece; it is hardly bigger than a modern euphonium moutpiece, but it has a shank on it the same size as my "CONN-GIANT". It must be an Eb mouthpiece, but does anyone know who "CLARK" was? I checked some Sousa rosters (it being a Conn), but so far: no luck. "CLARK" does NOT have an "E" at the end, nor does it look like it was mis-stamped. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanx,
Mike
