Most of these have NEVER been commercially available on CD!
This is a rare 12 LP set of all 10 of Anton Bruckner's symphonies (0-9) as recorded by the Chicago Symphony under Daniel Barenboim for Deutsche Grammophon during the 70's and early 80's. This is considered by many to be the gold standard of all Bruckner recordings, featuring perhaps the best brass section that ever lived anchored by Arnold Jacobs on tuba. To the best of my knowledge only symphonies 4 and 7 are available on CD; the rest are out of print and may never be heard again. All 24 sides of the records are in outstanding condition except for side 20 which has the first two movements of Symphony 8, This has a very serious scratch going across it; it was playable on my high end turntable but did make a loud click on each rotation. Every other side sounds as good as you can possibly get with a 33 RPM LP. Many of the later recordings were some of the very first made off digital masters. I am the only owner of this set and have gone to great lengths to take care of these records, with the obvious exception of the one incident. These were purchased new but discontinued in the mid 80's, so the box was notched in the corner. Included is a fullsized booklet that has a detailed bio on Bruckner and a timeline of his symphonies. Here is your chance to hear something that most people have not heard in twenty-five years! I will ship PRIORITY MAIL to UNITED STATES only.

Bruckner wrote 11 symphonies. Symphony No. 00 isn't in the list.

And you are right, the seldom heard (sometimes seldom acknowledged) 00 is not there. I have known of the Null for some time, but had never even heard of the 00 until researching to see what was currently available.

"Best Offer"

There's no provision for a "Best Offer" submission!
I'm certainly good for $20, and I'm sure there's TubeNetters who are good for even more of a monetary expenditure!

Well, I won't GIVE them away, but I relisted it in the For Sale section. Figure shipping will probably cost me close to $10.
