I have not played the piece yet, but I have been curious about the piece as well.

I have a recording of the piece as well as a score and a set of parts, and I can definitely say that you probably would not know that that PG wrote it upon a blind hearing. It bears none of the "minimalism," and it is quite atonal from what I remember. It certainly struck me as more of an "artifact" than a legitimate piece of repertoire, but you may find more value in it thant I. All in all, I think it's a neat piece to hear once, but it's not one that you'll keep coming back to.
