Be sure to listen to Gene Pokorny's "Orchestral Excerpts for Tuba" and have a blast!

Buy Mr. Torchinsky's Wagner volume of the Tuba Player's Orchestral Repertoire from Encore Music. It has complete parts for all of the essential Wagner.

It's basically the bass trombone part down an octave. It goes down to really low E - 2 octaves and a minor sixth below middle C. That note should be playable on your horn. Not the whole thing though...

If you have a 3 valve non-comp euph I don't understand how you could play below that note or even between the pedal and low E (an octave above the one I just talked about). False tones?

I have found, if you sustain those low Cs, it can cure any migraine headache and loosen your lower denture plate!

don't eat luch/breakfast or pack your lunch for a couple months? It adds up pretty quick.

or go to the library. if you're lucky they might carry the torchinsky books mentioned previously. most likely a community wont have it, but if you go to or know a person going to a nearby college, go check that library.
