Tuba Player on NBC Today Show 6/15

The Today Show is airing a segment about a young woman who plays the tuba (imagine that!) who some of you may have heard of. The piece was filmed in Michigan and Philadelphia this spring.

The Today Show airs nationally from 7-10:00 am and at present this segment is scheduled for 9:48 AM (Eastern Time) There is a possibility that breaking news could cause it to be rescheduled, but weâ€™ll hope for the best. I hope many of you are able to catch it.

Thanks Eric for the heads up. There was more information in that 5 minute spot on the Today show than the 8 or 10 pages of "What Equipment does Carol use".

I seem to cant download some of its requirements.........can anyone translate the format its in for me to windows media, or something else then its asking for?

Every time I think about her winning the audition........I envy her sooooooo much, and wish I could pull off something like that. I always wonder what it would be like to have as much as talent as some players like her, Charlie Vernon, Don Harwood, etc. It makes me upset at the fact that I know (I) can only go so far with my music, I know I will never be as good as my " hero" players...

I tried to view it in FireFox...didnt work as well.

there isn't even a internet explorer download for avalable for Macs anymore

Come on guys, this is a no brainer - the site is MSNBC we all know who NBC is, anyone want to guess who their partner, the MS is??

Was is coincidental that there was a story about Britney Spears on the same show? Wonder who is a better musician? Wonder who makes more money?

Hey man.....calm down, they are just trying to say that their internet browser wont let them download it.........we all know its on MSNBC..............thats a given.

I was able to view it on my PC...somewhat. Either the audio or video or both would pause repeatedly, perhaps because I tried to view it at a busy time of day.

1. How can the playback be cleaned up?

2. It's not likely that MSNBC will make this video segment accessible ad infinitum. How can one archive this video?

Thanks for the BUMP, and thanks for that last link, tubazar.

I can dislike Microsoft along with the best, but you folks should chilll...I just watched the segment with Firefox since my version of Internet Explorer on this machine is corrupted (and it's affecting other things as well).

At the Eastern Trombone Workshop this spring I saw Carol perform, along with the rest of the Philadelphia Orchestra low brass section. You could have blown me away with a feather after hearing that ensemble perform.
