Marzan Mouthpieces

Post by Tubaryan12 »

The mouthpiece fairy delivered a couple of mouthpiecs to me yesterday.

The measurements:

Marzan small mouthpiece:

O.D. rim: 44.90mm
I.D. cup: 31.00mm
Rim thickness: 6.95mm
Throat: 8.40mm
Backbore @ tip: 11.30mm

Marzan Large Mouthpiece:

O.D. rim: 46.60mm
I.D. cup: 33.00mm
Rim thickness: 6.80mm
Throat: 8.30mm
Backbore @ tip: 11.30mm

All measurements are, of course, approximate.
I can tell that both small ends of the mouthpieces have been worked on to get them back in shape so the final measurement on backbore, my guess, are not original.

Is anyone familiar with these and more importantly, are there any other sizes? Also, who made them for Marzan?

The outside of mine looks the same as these... no size indication, either.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I had one of these and made the mistake of showing it to a friend. When I commented that I liked it but it was rather small, he tossed me a Doug Elliott and grabbed the Marzan and refused to give it back.

No kidding. :) He still has it.

128 rim with a T-cup, if I remember correctly.

Cheers,
