Including receiving a Grammy for the Bridge Over the River Kwai soundtrack, 1958.

Sing one tune from the movie and it will be "Colonel Bogey". Shame it is the only tune remembered from the movie as the original stuff is quite good. I consider the 2nd movement fo the Brass Quintete to be his best writing along with "Peterloo Overture". YMMV.
