Skywalker Sound. What a place! It seems very similar to Air Studios in London. Similar name, website, super nice facilities...anyways...

...anyone ever recorded at either of these places?

No, but we found a neat studio close by in Daphne, Alabama.
In a little strip mall off Hwy 98 (around back) Barry Little has "Nomad Studios" that he runs alone and charges $50 per hour.
Barry did our first "live" c.d. where he set up in the back booth of the bar - around the corner watching us on a T.V. and got it all right on the first take. Can't beat a man with experience.
He added so much to our first effort that we are doing an all-in-studio album at his place now. We plan to record 12 tunes- 4 at a time.
Guitar/vocalist (John) went in alone and did 4 (click) tracks and Barry burnt a c.d of it for Kurt and I. We work up our part and each go in alone to add our lines. That way we can concentrate on just 4 tunes at a time. And when us three "Creekers" have all 12 tunes recorded, we can get all our rowdy friends in to add the voices, lead guitar, violins and bagpipes-followed by the inevitable beer bust. :D
