Free-standing tuba stands

Post by tubatooter1940 »

I'm an old guy. I need a tuba stand that will pack the whole weight.
I would love to walk up to my tuba on a stand (or sit if I must) and blow that thing unencumbered-maybe while wearing a slim-hollow body guitar.
Wagner Tubatamer Stands have four legs and appear (from pictures) to be built beefier than most.
You guys have any suggestions?
We pronounce it Guf Coast

The TubaTamer is beefy indeedy. Especially the price, $500.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
