Unless it's an antique, I don't know of anything that approaches being a tuba mouthpiece without at least bass trombone or older British (also older Eb) sized shanks. If you can't find something like a Schilke 59 or 60, which I believe can be ordered with a tenor shank as well as a bass shank, you'll either have to custom order or shave down. One item that may be easier to shave down would be something like a Kelly 25, which you would cut a little bit off the length of the shank and then shave to match. If you're careful not to overheat it, the lexan may be a tad more workable than brass, and you wouldn't have to worry about replating it.

Something with the older British/older Eb shank is only .490 at the tip; even though it may not seat all the way, it might go in enough to not worry about the gap, if you have sufficient tuning slide to push in. Good luck!

Sorry...Largest Small Shank Schilke is a 52. I was looking for a HUGE small shank mouthpiece some time ago for a small bore Tenor bone, and that was the largest I could find.

Oh, and maybe try Mouthpiece Express (http://www.mouthpieceexpress.com). They do lots of mouthpiece stuff, and maybe they could customize one for you...but that might be over your budget...
I think I might end up as a grumpy old man when I get old...
