1924-1941 (S/N 36540) small King Eb tuba for sale, $350. 3 valve, top action. It is in great shape and a good player for the money. Matte silver plate, near 100%, very few dings or dents. The valves are OK, good compression and action but to be perfect could use replating. All slides pull easily. The horn has a nice low register for a small horn (0.60" or so bore) and a decent tone. The intonation is consistently about 1/8 flat over the entire chromatic scale which makes me think it make have been made that way intentionally. I believe it would be a simple matter to have the tuning slide cut to bring the horn up to A440 and that the valve slides would be OK as is. Or, collect it. I don't play the horn much and near to clear out some space for another vintage BBb horn I just bought. See pictures:
