Good luck at Arizona with Sam Pilafian! I have always wanted to meet him. He is indirectly responsible for me playing the tuba. Interesting story:
He grew up in Coral Gables, Florida, as did my Dad's family. My uncle and Sam were friends in high school, and Sam helped to convince my dad to play the tuba. My dad played in junior high and high school, and when it was my time to choose an instrument, I chose tuba also! I've always thought it would be cool to thank him, even though he has no idea who I am.
Anyways, yeah, it would be great to hear from some more tuba players about colleges!
