new brass band website

howdy fellow tubenetters,

Feel free to check out the Lancaster British Brass Band's new website at

www.lancasterbbb.org

I had a school committment and couldn't play the last concert so my name was left off the personnel list, but I am in the lovely press release photo (Eb tuba player on the left, next to the conductor, who was my college choir director 20 years ago!). We have two Eb players with old Boosey Eeffers and a third guy with a Besson 983 not in the picture.

Hopefully my mug won't break your monitor.... :)

This is the third season for the band. About 4 years ago, two of the members had the desire to start this band and they basically got a few other friends together and started brainstorming names of people they felt would be interested and of the quality they were looking for. They did not simpy put out a call to all brass players and have auditions or anything like that. So through many phone calls and connections that way, they assembled the personnel. At this point the band is not paid, although they do get some money to us for travel since many people travel over an hour to get to rehearsals and concerts.
