*Back during "ancient times", he and I threw the Hindemith Sonata together for a recital in ONE run-through at his house (and I seriously doubt that he spent much time at all looking at it).

That would be extremely impressive. I have never had the opportunity to perform the Hindemith due the fact that no piano player around me was ever willing to even attempt it. Hindemith is legendary for his piano accompaniments. Even in ancient times....

Yes, those were excerpts from "Springsongs". I believe you remember correctly, the tuba part is in tenor clef for the last note, I believe it is a middle C. Pretty crazy....
