Can anyone recommend any "clip-on" tuners currently available over others?
The Center Pitch model is cheaper than the Korg. Is the Korg better in any way?

Re: clip on tuners
I use a 'Center Pitch' and sometimes just keep it clipped to my leadpipe. I like it a lot except for one thing.... it is almost too sensitive. You have to be quite close to the actual pitch or it won't register anything. I don't think it has a spread of much over 10-15 cents or so. When making 'major' intonation adjustments on the bench, I usually have my cheapie Seiko... which has a plus or minus 50 cents indicator.Mojo workin' wrote:Can anyone recommend any "clip-on" tuners currently available over others?

I liked it so much that I just bought one. Shop around, the $35 list price seems to be very flexible.

Do a net search for 'Center Pitch Tuner'. I saw prices as low as $23... plus postage, of course.Alex C wrote:I liked it so much that I just bought one. Shop around, the $35 list price seems to be very flexible.

I have a Boss tuner (forgot the model) that has an input for a clip on thing (kinda like a clip on mic). The clip on part was only a few bucks and it works great. I use it everyday in wind ensemble. The only draw back is that it picks up the other instruments vibrations on your horn but it works great other than that.
