I've done it on a besson 983 and an Alex 163 CC. I loved the ease of playing on the besson, but obviously loved the sound on the Alex. I think the Broughton lays VERY well on e flat though.....

There is an artical where Tommy talks about the piece. He said that he always did it on a CC, but the night before the TUSAB he decided to try it on F. Its a great piece that works well on either!
