TONIGHT!(Sorry for the late notice!)
Civic Orchestra of Chicago performs Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition (Ravel orch.) at Symphony Center. Hear ace tubist William Russell knock the oxcart out of the hall. Also on the program: Ravel's Rapsodie espagnole and Takemitsu's Twill by Twilight.
Oh, and it's Alan Gilbert conducting. Maybe see some of you there?

Civic tonight
The Civic concert will cost you a cool $1. It used to be free, but I guess they're trying to "recoup" some of their "loss" by charging that. You can get tickets online, or you may be able to get them at the door; these concerts tend to fill up fast.
