I've played the Mira 186 BBb copy when looking for a new horn for the school I teach at; it wasn't a bad horn for a copy, but it just didn't do anything for me at that price point (think I was quoted $4k). Not a bad horn though.

Bob, when you say stuff like"i'll never be able to buy____" it's just simply not true.Human beings, even you :D ,have incredible potential. If you really want a nice tuba, and are willing to give up enough other things and enough time, and are patient, you can have any tuba you want. The hours you spend on tubenet,at 10.00 per hour working nights at UPS would soon add up to a nice used tuba. You play it while you work and save even more. Then you sell it(it holds its value because you bought a popular model, shopped hard and got a good deal, and kept it in great shape),add some more of your night-job,hard earned money, and upgrade. You could do a bass tuba the same way. So,in my opinion, you can have what you want, but you have to be willing to make large sacrifices. My mom still hasn't bought me a tuba and I've owned many nice ones, and plan to own many more :D .I hope this comes across as the half-scolding/half-inspiring this post is meant to be...

No, I saw it, and it had the unmistakable lines of a Dalyan! :D
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I guess since I can't afford anything else, I'll make a cardboard sign saying, "Will Work for a Mirafone", and hang out in Denton.

Shame on them!
As long as it wasn't a Lark... That would be grounds for calling DSS!

I paid less for my Miraphone, including case, shipping and some minor adjustments once I got it here, than for a new Amati.

I know a guy that bought an Accent Bass trombone 2-3 weeks ago. The thumb rotar was put in up side down or somthing. He would've had to put his thumb under it and lift instead of pushing like normal. I don't know much but that about Accent anything.
