Just to say that there is a fantastic podcast on the LSO website. It is a tribute to the legendary trumpeter Maurice Murphy who has just retired from the LSO after 30 years as Principal Trumpet. There is an interview with the man himself, tributes from his colleagues & family,John Williams and others as well as a host of great excerpts (an amazing Turangalila with Previn and great stories about Solti & Bernstein !!!!) Well worth checking out !!
