Meistersinger would be great, but it does go a bit high in a couple of places.
Tchaikovsky 5 has a quite a nice part that should fit what you are looking for. Nothing too high, but a challenge here and there. It is also standard rep. which your conductor should be receptive to choosing.

Mahler Symphony No.6. It's very playable on CC (goes up to C# above staff), very rewarding for the tubist, complete with solos* and does have some passages which you will find challenging. You can even try out your trilling!
I have been fortunate enough to play it twice in concert (once using Eb and CC respectively) and it is my personal dream work to perform.
* at the last concert, one of the trumpets remarked, "it's a flipping tuba concerto"!

With that criteria, I would recommend a small equipment change.
Switch to violin.
Yes, there are some truly glorious moments for tuba, but let's get real here. Tuba is not the primary instrument in an orchestra. That's not its function. Most often your job is to create a foundation for the rest of the group to play from. It is absolutley essential, but you often get only the "OOOM" part of the proverbial oom-pah band, therefore, long notes, long rests, frquently, the hand from the conductor.
So... before ya'll tubenetters bash me....
The tuba is a great instrument, there are many players with the ability to go beyond tuba-dom and play great MUSIC, but those players also understand their role in the ensemble.
If you are looking for some great literature, that is challenging, rewarding, musically fulfilling, etc - then check out some chamber music - like the Vern Reynolds quintet, or if you ask for Tuba 4-tet recommendations here, you could probably get 50+ recommendations on the first day your post is up.
Orchestra lit - well, how 'bout Ein Heldenleben, Til Eulenspiegel, Tod und Verklarung, Eine Alpensinfonie. There are some great moments from Die Walkure, Rienzi, and Lohengrin. Resphigi had some cool stuff in Roman Festivals, and Pines of Rome.
