Summer gigs

Post by DaTubaKid »

I'm looking for summer gigs in the northwest suburbs of chicago area. So far I've failed to find a summer job, so I need something to help pay for school. Right now I'm playing with the Wheaton Municipal Band, which pays, fortunately. If anyone knows of anything else or has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate.

Find a guitar player who can sing and has some tasty arrangements and play bass lines and solos for him-maybe sing some backup as well. A duo is cheap enough to book that most saloons can afford to pay two players.
We pronounce it Guf Coast

Dibs on seconds!! :D

Wanna start a tuba quartet? The money be ROLLIN in then!!
So what are you guys waitin' for?
Plan your first get-together before the end of this week.
Unless, of course, you prefer flippin' burgers.

Make it fun, play some standards, improvise, crack jokes, have schtick, etc - you'll be working in no time, if, for no other reason than the sheer novelty of the group.
