Looking for cheap BBb for 6th grader

Post by Lukowicz »

I have an student interested in starting to learn tuba. No stores out this way rent tubas, and the school he's at does not have a music program. Anything around the Pittsburgh area?

thanks
Tom

Dave Fedderly has a "JZ" 3 banger top action Chinese BBb that has been on his web-site for about two years. I asked him about it some time ago and he said it was actually rather decent. You should contact him and see what you can work out. www.baltimorebrass.net.

If you want to go the Eb route, I've heard one of Bob's Ebs (can't remember which one you had last Sunday Bob) and it sounds quite decent. The other tuba player (with an old Alex BBb) had the same comment.
