Question about getting across Lake Michigan

Post by jbeish »

Hey list: This is really an off the wall question but is there a ferry to get across Lake Michigan from Michigan to Wisconsin? No idea how that stuff works but I'm planning a trip from the Lansing area to Madison and would love to cut the travel time (and expenses).

Thanks for any leads

Believe it or not, I happen to know there is a ferry that runs from Muskegon, MI to Milwaukee, WI.

Be sure to take some dramamine before you get on board. Lake Michigan is by far the choppiest water I have ever been on. The last time I went fishing on the lake I think the waves were around 10-12'+. I don't believe anyone on the charter boat enjoyed the trip.
I post because you're unable to Google.

Thanks!!

So I've checked into it and it would be $230+ round trip for me and my car! I think I'll just drive... the time is about the same but I just wanted to check out my options. Thanks for all of your help!
