More than one size of Yamaha springs?

Post by WakinAZ »

I've bought several sets of the Yamaha plastic-coated (or nylon, whatever) springs in the past for my non-Yamaha piston horns to quiet down the valve noise. They seem to be too short for my King. The little plastic bag they came in said "Valve Spring EP, BB103", which are smallish horns (euph and 3/4 tuba). The springs are about 1 and 7/8" long by 11/16" diameter. I was just wondering if these springs come in a larger size? The Yammie part number on the bag is G0141070 if that helps anyone.

I believe the "G" numbers are the smaller (euphonium-small tuba) springs. The "H" numbers are the larger tuba springs. They should be easy to find.

Are they available online anywhere?
