Must have been one of windshieldbug's conductors that gave him the hand one time too many...

Hey- the hand was the lucky part!

The rest of him, we put in an elevator listening to a tape-loop of violas "attempting" Barber's Adagio for Strings... :D

So here's the whole story. The croc is a resident of a run down, mismanaged zoo in China. This particular zoo has been cited many times for problems (earlier in the year a monkey bit off the finger of a child). In the case of the croc, a veternarian shot it with what he thought was a tranqulizer dart. The dart was actually filled with an antibiotic. The vet reached between the bars to retrieve the dart when the croc attacked, snapping off the vet's left arm. Zoo keepers shot the croc twice with a small caliber handgun. The rounds bounced off the croc but stunned him so the hand could be retrieved. The hand was reattached. We will see how that comes out.

Steve Irwin RIP. The greatest naturalist to bring natural conservation awareness to the general public since Marlin Perkins.

Boy, I'm getting old. I saw Jerry Reed perform the flip side of the single of that song, the Preacher and the Bear, at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, Missouri as a boy when I was growing up in Marshfield.
