Does anyone have any comments about the Jacob's tuba suite?
I can't find too much info about it. What level is it about?
Is there a band accompianment or just the strings?
Does anyone know if it is in the NYSSMA Manual. and if so for what level?

I have played this peice before and is a great peice of tuba repertoire. There should be a way to find if it is in the NYSSMA book online, though if it is it will be for a strong level 5 player if not it will be a level 6. The reason for this comes down to the last movement, the gallop, a player will need a strong high G above the staff for this which would cause it to be level 6, and there are optional 8VB sections for these rather high licks which would then be a level 5.
P.S.- I heard at one point the Kraft- Encounters II was on the level 6 list

Also, I plan on preparing it for an audition as a student concerto competition. Probably excluding the last movement, because auditions are in 2 months.
Are there any other movements I should exclude? I was thinking about doing 5 out of the 8.
Maybe:
Prelude
Hornpipe
Saraband
Bouree
Ground.
It would be the orchestra's choice whether or not to do 5 (brief interlude)
