What are the rims on the Josef Klier mouthpieces similar to?

Post by cjk »

I was wondering what the rims on the Josef Klier mouthpieces are similar to. Are they possibly similar to the Miraphone TU21 (what used to be called the C3)?

Thanks,

Christian

JK mouthpieces are manufactured by the same company that makes the Mirafone mouthpieces=. the only difference between the two is what they stamp on the side, and the price you pay.
JK = roughly $60, Mirafone = roughly $100

Thanks ST, I like the Mira C3/TU21 rim. I don't much care for the C4/TU23 rim. I was kinda hoping the JK rims were similar to the TU21/C3, but not like the TU23/C4. Anybody know?

I have both the JK T1 AA and the Mira TU-33. The JK rim is rounded very much like the TU-33 but with a slightly sharper inner bite. IIRC both rims are fairly wide compared to my old C3 (mid 1980's).
