We've just returned from the sixth edition of Tubonium in St. Peter, Minnesota. As in past years, the recitals and solo competition were amazing. But, again, the best part was the guest artists and how accessible they were to amateurs and professionals alike, both informally and in master classes that meshed beautifully without being redundant. Thanks to Dan Perantoni, Brian Bowman, and John Stevens for coming to Minnesota to share their musical gifts and knowledge. This was, simply put, a wonderful gathering of tubas and euphoniums.
For those who aren't familiar with Tubonium, it is an annual tuba-euphonium festival at Gustavus-Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. hosted by Paul Budde. As in past years, Paul Budde and the students of Gustavus-Adolphus College deserve great thanks for putting on such an amazing and fun event.
Thanks.

Thank you Paul
Paul is hopefully getting some well deserved sleep after producing a great show for the tuba community. Thank you Paul for setting it all up. It is a treat to have artists of this level available for workshops and concerts. The thing that you have to see for yourself is how all of the artists were never too busy for anybody that had a question. Special thanks to the exhibitors Music Mart, Pepper Music, WWBW and Redwing instrument repair program.
