Non playing Stand

I did a search and of course came up with many threads about standing while playing.......
I know there are a few stands that are meant to put the horn down on while not playing and I remember one (perhaps the K&M) seeming like the best option. I was wondering if there are other or better options out there?

I have a lightweight playing stand for inside gigs.
Fellow tubenetter tbn Al, helped me get a heavy TubaTamer stand. My old King resides in the TubaTamer.
I know you selected a storage stand but it is so nice to be able to slide onto a chair and play tuba unencumbered. My light weight stand stays folded up in the van. The King on it's TubaTamer stand takes up very little floor space in my tiny music room.
Our beach gig this week was so windy I saw a seagull lay the same egg twice. I had the TubaTamer dug into the sand.
Hope you come up with the stand that meets your requirements.

P.S. I am tempted to have a welder lengthen the stainless steel vertical bar to give me enough height to play standing up. That would make it possible to play tuba while wearing a guitar. Sitting down having to reach to the side and drag a guitar across my lap takes too much time.

You know, I just need to put the horn down so I can pick up the bass. I have one of those old (and hard to find) heavy stands that put the horn at about playing height, but it's about 2 or 3 feet in the air and I'd like the horn to be closer to the ground. I had my horn in a K&M over the last week playing someone else's gig and it was nice but I was just wondering if there's anything better.
Talk about a seagull laying the same egg twice though, there's is a certain musical I've played an estimated 2000 times......

The K&M works great for me. I never have to set my tubas on their bells. And, as is the case this week, it makes mute insertion and extraction easier.
