Coffee mugs?

Post by Chadtuba »

Do any of you have a favorite coffee mug that you use on the road or in the office or (?)? I bought years ago a Starbucks carabiner travel mug and absolutley love it, but its on it's last legs and I need to replace it. The things that I really love about this mug are the carabiner clip so I can attach it to my briefcase, gig bag or whatever and the fact that it is spillproof. The other thing is that it really does keep my coffee hot for hours. I bought a replacement this past winter of a similar mug but it doesn't keep my coffee hot for even 1/2 hour.

After doing some research I found these http://www.gocontigo.com/catalog-produc ... 9b2f1.html . They were supposed to be the ones who made the Starbucks cup, but I'm not totally positive about that. I also notice that they make 2 different insulations one vacum one foam. Again, from the research I've been doing it seems that the Starbucks mugs where vacum insulated and I'm guessing that the new one I bought is foam. So any of you know anything about this?

I was also wondering if anybody knows if there are any larger mugs with similar attributes? Thanks!

Vacuum-insulated technology keeps beverages hot for 4 hours, and cold for 12 hours
This is bogus. I tried putting in a cup of hot coffee and a scoop of ice cream. When I checked on them later, the coffee was NOT hot, and the ice cream was NOT cold.

In 1990 when I was on the road with a job that usually got me on the road before breakfast, I bought a 22-oz insulated mug with the standard red pop off lid at a Total gas station/convenience store. It is now on its third lid. But best yet, a local grocery store chain now has Starbucks kiosks in their stores. I shop the local store a lot, being close to my house in the 'burbs on the way in. The manager saw I was looking noticably drawn one morning, and slapped a Starbucks sticker on it. I now get brew of the day refills for 85 cents, including tax, when the convenience store in the next block gets more than that for burned sludge!

I don't get it. You put in cold stuff and it keeps it cold. You put in hot stuff and it keeps it hot. How the heck does it know?

Cold caffine is good too, but my body needs that hot cup of coffee in the morning to get going. And yes, I do realize that what I just said sounds very much like I'm addicted to coffee/caffine, but really I can quit anytime that I want to  its just that I don't want to

Anyone interested in a TubeNet or tuba themed coffee mug?

There is an outfit called CafePress that handles all of the production and marketing end of things and I'd look into it if there is an interest.

Homeland Security connection. I could tell you, but then Wade would have to kill you.

New coffee mug? Bowl or funnel? Sharp rim? Medium-large bore? American shank?

That'll be $30 for the mug and $220 for labor costs.

Ah, ha! I seem to have forgotten about that thread....

Besides thongs and t-shirts, they have coffee cups and big beer steins....

Does TubeNet get a significant cut of the money in this arrangement>

Would a Helleberg coffee mug drink itself?

It is designed to keep the coffee hotter than Hell ... eberg.

(but not hotter than Ann Coulter)

The better question is, "Would using one of these mugs guarantee that one would have a 'world class sound?'"

Can we get a mug with a picture of the tubenet thong on it? Perhaps being modeled by that girl with the sousaphone?

or let's all send in digital photos of ourselves and get a group shot on the mug!

we could put our mugs on the mug.....
