Does lipstick make it a 5/4?

It's a 4/4 tuba with a 3/4 bell.

Must disagree. Bell flare counts for zip except timbre. It's the throat that counts. My Alex has half the bell diameter of a 6/4 York, but it'll hold it's own agains it; might even kick its a$$ (it's a 164).

The pig has a very large throat, and a very large bore (nearly the size of my Alex). But the taper is a little slow after that until the last 5 feet or so. So I'd say body of a 3/4 (ish) and the bell and bore of a 4/4.

Sounds like a 4/4 to my ear, though I'm selling mine (if anyone's interested) for my new Kalison.

No argument from me. I was really making a joke.

Well, I'm a little slow sometimes - I tend to notice humor that slaps me across the face. Subtlety is not my forte!
