FBC Brass

Post by SplatterTone »

Not clipart, just audio. As the First Baptist woodwinds have fallen by the wayside, the brass still continue to field a reasonably decent church ensemble. I thought today's anthem, while nothing especially fabulous, had some attractive blending of the brass and choir ... along with one lone clarinet.

I have forgotten the exact title and writers of the anthem. If anyone wants the info, I will see if I can get it. This is the first time I have tried using the MF2 I got from Greg with the 191.

The first hymn set is often a whip-up-the-crowd sort of thing. Today, we did some whipping up, and I was in a crank that puppy up mood. So here is the 191 getting some lip from a Jim Self Replica. This is when it's fun playing. Sorry about the recording level getting knocked into some mild clipping -- we was makin' some vibrations.

As long as I have this going, you music directors might like this for choir and band. I was being a good boy and restraining myself.
