VMI 3302
There's a VMI 3302 (4P+1R valve BBb) on e-bay, but I can't seem to locate a buy-new price. Have googled VMI 3302 and have gone through the "Shops" list above. What is a realistic buy-new price for this horn?

Probably pushing up beyond seven grand and more, these days.sailn2ba wrote:There's a VMI 3302 (4P+1R valve BBb) on e-bay, but I can't seem to locate a buy-new price. Have googled VMI 3302 and have gone through the "Shops" list above. What is a realistic buy-new price for this horn?
Used four-valve models in like-new condition often sell in the middle threes and more.

Hm! One more question: Has VMI/B&S made any big changes in the horn. . .like wrap or something. . . recently?

Re: VMI 3302
Not that I've heard anything about. The popularity of this instrument was undercut somewhat by the appearance of the new-style King 2341. I prefer a good example of the latter for playing, but not for quality of construction. I've played several variants on the 3301, including a B&S PT-2P and an F. Schmidt 3301, and found no real difference in construction or in how it played. (There was, however, a real difference in price.)sailn2ba wrote:Hm!
