Salem, Oregon, Tuba Christmas Canceled
The Salem Oregon Tuba Christmas, scheduled for Wednesday, December 24, has been canceled, according to the organizers. Please go to http://www.scb.org/ for the official announcement. Our weather conditions are simply too treacherous to hold an event where people travel from distant places to this area. This is a wise decision but, at the same time, quite sad. This event was always a remarkable one and it always sold out the theater in which it was held, until this year, when it was to be moved to the Armory in order to have more room. Maybe next year?
Always make a good sound; audiences will forget if you miss a note but making a good sound will get you the next job.

I'm bummed, but I'm not giving up the day off that I fanangled to get to go to Salem.

Darn!!! And I was hoping to get in three TubaChristmases this year (did Portland and Seattle)...
