San Antonio Wind Symphony Concert

Post by TubaRay »

The San Antonio Wind Symphony has a concert this Sunday. Actually, the wind ensemble itself will not perform. It will consist of performances by the Woodwind section and the Brass and Percussion sections.

U.T. San Antonio Recital Hall
Sunday, April 5, 2009
7:30 p.m.

The brass will be performing the following pieces:

Sonata Octavi Toni Giovanni Gabrieli
March to the Scaffold Hector Berlioz(arr. by Rod Leonard)
Fanfare from La Peri Paul Dukas

The Berlioz contains all the orchestral tuba stuff, in the same key and range, plus lots of other interesting parts. If Ralph(textuba) and I perform well, and I know Ralph will, it should be worth a lot more than the price of admission(it is free).
