I really like the Wes Jacobs book, which is perfect for CC tuba. I also really like the Euphonium book by Bowman/Alessi. I would have all of my students use them if they didn't cost so much freakin money. The Mantia book is still 27.50, which is half of what the newer versions cost. Until those books get down to the thirty dollar range, I will use the Mantia version.
I really wish they were not proced out of the market.

I have the Wes Jacobs tuba edition from Encore Music. I recall paying upwards of $40 for it, but don't remember exactly what it cost.
Like Tony already said, it is geared towards the CC tuba player. A lot of the introductory comments have been redone to be more applicable to tubists as well.
There are mistakes in the book as I'm sure there are in almost every edition. I've heard that the Bowman euph edition corrected a lot of the mistakes, but I don't own that.
If you can read treble clef pretty well (perhaps you play piano also) go with the trumpet Arban's book and save some money. Othewise I really like the tuba edition published by Encore Music.
