The gist of the text is quoted from Josef Škvorecký's Red Music, an essay including in some versions of the fictional novella The Bass Saxophone, the relevant versions of which were first published in Canada in 1977. He claims he first saw the words in a Czech music journal during the war. But that is refuted by experts, apparently.

Baldur von Blodheim was not mentioned by Škvorecký, and he never existed, nor did the position Reichsmusicfuhrer, which, by the way, is a misspelled and improperly constructed German word.
