Search for 190, and you'll find some stuff.

From an old thread from April:

The old (new when I played them) 190 tubas were more like "King Kong's" than "big brothers"...and, indeed, those tubas were "endlessly curious".

You could also call Steve Ferguson (http://www.hornguys.com" target="_blank) if you're serious about these tubas. I wouldn't call to waste his time and shoot the breeze, but if you're legitimately interested, he would know.

I was over at Ferguson's not long ago trying out mouthpieces on my horn (PT-6) and saw a 190 there, although I didn't play it. Definately a monster horn, about the same size as the Cerveny 701 Kaiser.

I would imagine that the similarity (playing it anyway) to a 188 is not too great, because the 190 is just so much bigger. The 188 is essentially a beefier (larger bore) version of the 186. While the 190 is a true size upgrade to 5/4+. Kind of the way a 186 is a true size upgrade from the 184.
Roll that beautiful bean footage...

Perhaps the best way to describe the 190 it to picture a 186, but proportionally (and substantially) enlarged in all dimensions - height, bore size, taper, bell, etc.
Outstanding projection, big "German sound", can still get that "Mirafone edge" that you either love or hate.
