Despite the dubious sound quality (just listen to the piano) the ophicleide comes through rather well. Euph in the mid range, stuffy bass trombone down low, hornlike in the top range.

If the music is original ophicleide repertory, then I can live with the ophi gone extinct. The piece that the trio does in Berlin is equally forgettable. Are there YouTube samples where the ophi is used in real music like Midsummernight’s Dream?
